It's a Nikon D80 with a Nikkor 105mm macro VR lens. but the lens that came with it sucks...so may have to bump up to the 18-200 lens (I think that was the range. that lens is $800 or something like that)
I tried out the nikon D200, which is really nice (when using $1500 lens) and has better metering I'm told, not that I know what that even means, but my hand is too small and it's simply too much camera for a not-so-serious hobbyist.
I bought cam to document my work and do a few silly things with it. Not that there is anything to document in terms of artwork. It's mainly a diversion/coping machinism.

I love the macro feature.
So far I still only have a point and shoot digital camera - but I've gotten some pretty nice pics even with that.
That said, I really love going to Circuit City and looking at all the fancy cameras and gadgets. Hope you're enjoying your new toy!
